Jewellery - Frequently asked Questions

Jewellery is often more than an accessory. It's the finishing touch that makes an outfit feel complete, a thoughtful gift for someone special, or a piece you reach for time and time again.

At Interior Collections, our jewellery collection brings together carefully curated designs, beautiful pearls, gold-toned details and distinctive pieces chosen for their style and versatility. We also offer jewellery designed by Vera Keshishian and made in Australia.

Whether you're looking for an everyday favourite, a statement piece or something special to give, we've answered some of the questions you may have before choosing your jewellery.

About Our Jewellery

1. What types of jewellery does Interior Collections offer?

Our jewellery collection includes a considered selection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and pearl jewellery.

Depending on the current collection, you'll find classic pieces, contemporary designs, statement styles and jewellery that can be layered or mixed to create your own look.

We aim to offer pieces that feel special while remaining versatile enough to complement different outfits and occasions.

2. Does Interior Collections have its own jewellery designs?

Yes. Alongside jewellery selected from other designers, we offer pieces designed by Vera Keshishian and made in Australia.

Vera's designs reflect her appreciation for beautiful details, distinctive materials and jewellery that brings a personal touch to everyday style.

Our own designs sit alongside our curated collection, giving customers the opportunity to discover both original designs and other carefully selected pieces.

Look for the relevant product descriptions to learn more about individual designs and their origins.

3. Where is your jewellery made?

Our collection includes jewellery from different designers and sources, including our own designs made in Australia.

The country of manufacture and any relevant product-specific details will be provided in the product description where available.

If you have a question about the origin of a particular piece, please contact us before purchasing.

4. What materials are used in your jewellery?

At Interior Collections, we believe jewellery should be chosen for its beauty, quality and lasting appeal. We carefully select each piece with an appreciation for craftsmanship, distinctive design and timeless style, favouring jewellery that feels special and worthy of being treasured for years to come, rather than mass-produced, fast-fashion pieces designed for short-term trends.

Our collection brings together thoughtfully curated designs and jewellery created by Vera Keshishian, with a focus on individuality, elegance and enduring appeal. Materials vary between designs and may include pearls, gold-toned components and other decorative materials.

For specific information about the materials, finishes and components used in each piece, please refer to the individual product description. If you have any questions about a particular item, we're always happy to help.

5. Is your jewellery suitable for everyday wear?

Our jewellery is designed to make you feel beautiful, confident and special, whatever the day brings. You are the occasion — you don't need a special event to celebrate yourself or feel amazing. We believe your favourite pieces deserve to be worn and loved often, bringing a little luxury, beauty and joy to everyday life, not just the moments marked on the calendar.

6. Will my jewellery look exactly like the photograph?

We make every effort to display our jewellery as accurately as possible. However, colours and finishes may appear differently depending on your screen, device settings and lighting.

Natural materials, including pearls, can also vary in shape, colour, lustre, surface characteristics and pattern. Handmade pieces may have individual characteristics that contribute to their unique appearance.

Where relevant, these variations will be described in the product listing.

Choosing and Styling Jewellery

7. How do I choose jewellery to complement my outfit?

Start by considering the overall look you want to create.

For an understated look, delicate necklaces, simple earrings and subtle gold-toned details can work beautifully. For something more striking, statement earrings, baroque pearls or layered necklaces can become the focal point of your outfit.

Pearls can complement everything from linen and relaxed resort wear to tailored pieces and occasion dressing. Gold-toned jewellery can add warmth and work beautifully alongside neutral colours, classic whites and earthy tones.

There are no strict rules. Choose pieces that reflect your personal style and make you feel confident.

8. Can I layer necklaces or mix different jewellery styles?

Absolutely. Layering is our signature style and a lovely way to create a look that feels personal.

Try combining necklaces of different lengths, or pairing a delicate chain with a more distinctive pearl or pendant design. You can also mix simple earrings with layered necklaces, allowing one piece to take centre stage.

When layering necklaces, consider their lengths, weight and clasp design to reduce tangling. If combining different finishes or materials, repeat a detail or colour to help create a cohesive look.

9. How do I choose jewellery as a gift?

Jewellery can be a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations or simply to show someone you care.

If you're unsure what to choose, consider the recipient's usual style. Do they prefer classic pearls, delicate everyday pieces, bold statement jewellery or simple gold-toned designs?

Necklaces and bracelets can be good options when you're unsure of earring preferences or ring size. Before purchasing a ring, check the available sizing information carefully.

Jewellery Care

11. How should I care for my jewellery?

With the right care, you can help preserve the appearance of your jewellery for longer.

As a general guide:

  • Put jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray, lotions and cosmetics.
  • Avoid exposing jewellery to household cleaning products, chemicals and other substances that may affect its finish.
  • Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising or undertaking activities that could expose it to moisture, chemicals or impact.
  • Store pieces separately in a clean, dry place to help prevent scratching, tangling and unnecessary wear.
  • Handle delicate chains, clasps and settings carefully when putting jewellery on or taking it off.
  • Clean jewellery gently using a method suitable for its particular materials.

Different materials and finishes require different care. Please follow any product-specific care instructions supplied with your purchase.

12. How should I care for pearl jewellery?

Pearls have a distinctive natural lustre and benefit from gentle handling.

We recommend putting pearl jewellery on after applying perfume, cosmetics and hairspray, and allowing them to dry.  Also removing it before showering, swimming or exercising.

After wearing your pearls, gently wipe them with a soft, clean cloth before storing them separately in a dry place.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners and vigorous scrubbing unless the manufacturer has specifically confirmed that the method is suitable for the particular piece.

Pearls and pearl-like materials can have different care requirements, so please refer to the product description and any care instructions supplied.

13. Can I wear my jewellery in the shower or while swimming?

We generally recommend removing jewellery before showering, swimming or bathing.

Water, chlorine, salt, soaps and other chemicals can affect certain materials and finishes. Moisture may also become trapped in clasps or settings.

As the durability of a piece depends on its materials and construction, we recommend following the care instructions for the individual item.

14. How should I store my jewellery?

Store jewellery in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight, humidity and sources of heat.

Keep necklaces separated where possible to prevent tangling, and store delicate or easily scratched pieces individually.

Pearls and other delicate materials should be protected from contact with harder jewellery and abrasive surfaces.

If your jewellery comes with a storage pouch or box, this may be suitable for keeping the piece protected between wears.

15. Will gold-toned jewellery retain its colour?

The durability of a gold-toned finish depends on the materials, construction and finishing process used for the individual piece.

Exposure to moisture, chemicals, friction, perspiration and everyday wear can affect some finishes over time.

We recommend checking the product description for details of the materials and finish, and following the care instructions provided.

If you need clarification about a particular piece, please contact us before purchasing.

Returns and Refunds

20. What is your change-of-mind return policy for jewellery?

For eligible jewellery items, change-of-mind return requests must be made within seven days of receiving your order.

You must contact us and receive approval before returning an item.

To be eligible for an approved change-of-mind return, jewellery must be unworn, unused and in its original condition, with tags, accessories and packaging where supplied.

A 20% restocking fee, calculated on the purchase price of the returned item, applies to approved change-of-mind returns. Customers are also responsible for return shipping and transport costs where applicable.

Certain items, including earrings, final-sale products and custom-made or personalised jewellery, are excluded from voluntary change-of-mind returns.

21. Can I return earrings?

For health and hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.

This applies to earrings purchased at full price, on promotion or as part of a sale.

If earrings arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise fail to meet a consumer guarantee, please contact us. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.

22. Can I return a sale or final-sale jewellery item?

Jewellery clearly identified as Final Sale cannot be returned for change of mind.

Other sale jewellery is subject to the change-of-mind return conditions stated in our Refunds and Returns Policy, unless a particular promotion specifies otherwise.

All jewellery, including discounted and final-sale items, remains subject to applicable consumer guarantees.

If a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to an appropriate remedy.

23. Can I return faulty or damaged jewellery?

If your jewellery arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, please contact us at admin@interiorcollections.com.au.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where practical.

We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate next steps. Depending on the circumstances, the remedy may include a repair, replacement, refund or another solution under Australian Consumer Law.

24. Can personalised or custom-made jewellery be returned?

Personalised, custom-made and specially commissioned jewellery is generally excluded from voluntary change-of-mind returns.

If you are considering a customised piece, please check the product details carefully and contact us if you have questions before placing your order.

This exclusion does not override any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

25. How are jewellery refunds processed?

Once a refund has been approved, we will arrange for it to be processed within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

Refunds are generally made to the original payment method unless another method is agreed or required by law.

The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
